The reason of all suffering is just one; we want the circumstances to be different than what they are.
The point is not to ignore the problems in future, but to enjoy the moment that is in the present.
A Story...
A Japanese warrior was captured by his enemies and thrown into prison. That night he was unable to sleep because he feared that the next day he would be interrogated, tortured, and executed. Then the words of his Zen master came to him, “Tomorrow is not real. It is an illusion. The only reality is now.”
Heeding these words, the warrior became peaceful and fell asleep.
Heeding these words, the warrior became peaceful and fell asleep.
Ever wondered how much time and energy we let by ourselves, dwelling upon dire future we are getting into, imagining over and over again how bad a particular thing or a situation is going to get?
And more often than not, the future never turns out to be anywhere near as bad as we imagine it to be, we always are so negative about future that we forget to enjoy the moment at hand.
Hence, due to imagining and visualizing the negative stuff again and again we end up depressed, sad and low.
In the next post I’ll give a technique for those interested on how to focus easily on “Present”.
Do you know more about “How to be HAPPY?”
Chip in with your words of wisdom below in the comments, share personal experiences and things you do or techniques to remain in that “high” mode of life.

They can take the clothes off my back, but they can never take my mind! only I can do that with thoughts believed of a nonexistent future....the lunacy of "what if"..... only I can destroy the soundness with drugs or alcohol with which used to escape!! Escape what? The mind.. I have the reigns to this boundless mind.. I have the key.. be it I give thought full reign to trample upon the all encompassing present.. or I take these reigns in hand.. thus realizing the power is mine. :)
